Michael LaPorta is a retired senior partner of Deloitte Consulting. He provided guidance to many of the firm's largest clients, and was responsible for many of the firm's global initiatives. During his 32 year career, Mr. LaPorta held several leadership positions, including Global Leader for the Deloitte Consulting Insurance Practice. He was the Global Leader of the Deloitte Consulting technology practice for the Insurance Industry, National Director of Strategic Planning at Deloitte & Touche, and prior to that, at Touche Ross & Co. He also served as Managing Director of the St. Louis Managing Consulting Group, and Managing Partner of the St. Louis office. He was a key member of the merger team that created Deloitte & Touche, and was a member of the firm management committee.

Mr. LaPorta received his BSBA, majoring in accounting, from Rockhurst University, and an MS in Business Administration from Kansas State University. He is a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Management Consultant. Mr. LaPorta is also a former Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Association of Management Consulting Firms.

He has served as special advisor to the boards of the United Way of America, United Way of TriState, and the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, and is the President of the Board of Trustees of Eagle Hill Southport. Mr. LaPorta has also served as a board member of the St. Louis chapters of Inroads and the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
