The Director of Marketing will be responsible for leading the company’s marketing efforts. Role and Responsibilities:
- Plan, develop and implement strategic and tactical marketing programs to increase brand awareness, increase market penetration and achieve revenue targets.
- Drive acquisition of competitor product knowledge and effectively communicate a thorough understanding of how we position ourselves against our competitors from a variety of perspectives (messaging, ROI, features, ease of use, security, go-to-market strategy, etc.) to stakeholders throughout the organization.
- Understand how our customers use and benefit from Sageworks products, and obtain customer feedback on our products and marketing efforts.
- Develop business cases for new or expanded products and services that address the core needs of our customers. Research and understand customer needs; develop product strategies, product plans, requirement documentation, ROI models and market justifications.
- Challenge current assumptions with regard to product pricing and define optimal pricing strategies going forward.
- Ensure consistency of product positioning within all marketing and PR activities.
- Manage the day-to-day activities associated with all marketing efforts including: project management, creative development, cross-functional implementation, marketing program evaluation, and reporting.
- Develop effective sales tools such as collateral, presentations, ROI, and success stories.
- Support thought leadership in the marketplace by effectively representing Sageworks through product presentations at conferences, events and seminars.
- Manage external marketing vendors as appropriate.
Key Skills and Experience:
- 3-5 years of experience in brand/product management and/or financial services marketing
- Track record of results-oriented achievements and successful strategy execution.
- Ability to manage numerous simultaneous projects in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Proven experience in developing creative advertising materials, sales collateral, direct mail, email and online advertising communications.
- Ability to communicate effectively in and across teams throughout company; must possess strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- The ability to quickly and successfully adapt to an entrepreneurial environment and culture.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing or related field. MBA is desired.
